Business Scholars Program

A "bridge" for the next generation of business leaders.

The BNB Business Scholars program was created by Bridgehampton National Bank in 2010 as part of our 100th Anniversary Celebration. The annual programs awards five $1,000 scholarships to qualifying high school seniors who are planning to study a financial topic at a two- or four-year college. (The scholarship is not need-based.)

Who Can Apply:

High school seniors planning to attend two- or four-year colleges and study business, finance, economics or accounting. Applicants must come from one of the following high schools:

  1. Return your completed application by April 1, 2015. Applications are available through your guidance counselor, or you can download an application here. Email your completed application package to:

  2. Include a 300- to 500-word essay on the topic: What is the role of a community bank and how can it impact the people and businesses in your town or village?


A panel of judges comprised of Bridgehampton National Bank professionals conduct a blind review of the applications.


  • Five $1,000 scholarships.
  • Winners will be notified through their guidance office.
  • Each scholarship is presented at the high school's annual awards ceremony along with a certificate.
