Kevin O'Connor, President and CEO of Bridgehampton National Bank (BNB) presented a check to Long Island Head Start's Chief Executive Officer, Debrah Garcia, as the beginning of a corporate partnership, which in addition to a financial contribution, will include an in-kind donation of volunteer hours to assist Head Start in its efforts to offer financial literacy to its families. The program, which will be developed over the summer for a fall kick off, will include BNB staff from its 26 branch network across Long Island.
"Long Island Head Start makes a vital contribution to our community," noted O'Connor. "There are few things as important as providing children with a strong educational foundation. We are very excited to support Head Start in both its work with children and the financial literacy of their families. As a community bank, this is a place where we can have a tangible impact."
